Honestly, I was very impressed with this movie. It was easy to make comparisions of it to "The Matrix," but I think that the storyline is closer to a combination of "Fahrenheit 451" and "1984," which are classics of post-modern totalitarian literature. The "gun kata" and martial arts scenes were interesting, and I thought it was scarier than "The Matrix," even though the special effects were not as thrilling.
An interesting point was the pistol that the "Priest" used. It was a modifiedBeretta 93rpistol, which is very rare to see. There was one point where magazines were switched, and later the bullet was traced to another "Priest," which I thought they copied right out of "Judge Dredd." So, I thought that the movie had a good plot, good action, and gave a lot of references to classic works of Science Fiction as a genre.
If you liked "The Matrix" or "Ghost in the Shell," then I recommend this movie.
