king kamehameha hula competision was held on Friday night and Saturday afternoon at Blaisdell arena.
I bought tickets from my Kumu and went to Arena after working.
I got there around 6:30.
the arena was packed with lots of Japanese ladies!!!
I was astonished the numbe of japanese people who came from japan to participate this competition!!!
I was in time for the performance of men's performance that my kumu instructed.
I heard that my kumu made their clothes for this competition.
This was first competition for men who learning hula under my kumu!!
I did not know any of them, but They seemed to get nervous to dance, but their performance was cute.
There was 30 minnutes intermission, and when intermissioin began, I got phone call from another member of my hula class.
I could not find where she was.
She told me the seat she had and let me join her and her friends.
I did not eat anything, I went ground floor to buy some food, however again
there were so many japanese who got around entrance or food shop!!
I was a little bit annoyed by them.....
Lots of participant from Japan performed dance.
They are so cute, but for me, they looked like all the same...
on the way to back to my seat, I got lost where we got seat, and I met another member of my hula class there.
competition eneded around 9:00 PM.
The hula danced by The ladies whose hair is black was so attractive.
these days, many many ladies all over the world learn hula, but for me,
black hair makes hula particulally disntinctive ......
