Green tea that is popular in Asia is also known to be beneficial for health. I came across an online article on the research for black tea. It says that two or more cups of black tea a day reduce the risk of death from all causes. It takes cardiovascular disease as an example. Adding milk and sugar does not reduce the health benefit significantly. But it is known that sugar and saturated fat in milk are not good for health. Tea contains bioactive compounds that have the potentials to decrease oxidated stress and inflammation. Green tea has been reported to lower the risk of cognitive decline. Green tea and black tea come from the variation of the same plant, suggesting both have the similar health benefits.
