エリザベスの父、スワン総督から注文された剣を届けにウィルが登場します。壁のろうそく立てをいじって壊し、ばれないようにあたふたするお茶目なウィルです。
総: Ah, Mr. Turner, good to see you again.
ウ: Good day, sir. I have your order.
総: Well.
ウ: The blade is folded steel. That's gold filigree laid into the handle. If I may. Perfectly balanced. The tang is nearly the full width of the blade.
総: Impressive. Very impressive. Ah, now, Commodore Norrington is going to be very pleased with this. Do pass my compliments on to your Master. Hmm?
ウ: I shall. A craftsman is always pleased to hear his work is appreciated.
◇filigree は「フィリグリー：金線細工」
◇ If I may.は「よろしければ」 Ex. I'll come tomorrow, if I may.（よろしければ明日お伺いします。）
◇tang は刃物の「中子：タング」のこと。次の朱字はまったく聞き取れませんでした。
◇compliment は「賛辞（＝praise）」。Ex. Thank you for your compliment.（そういってもらえると嬉しいです／お褒めいただきありがとう）
次の on は聞こえているのにどういうつながりか分からなかった部分。pass ～ on（＋to人）で「（人に）～を伝える」。このonは「連続」を表す副詞で、伝言をウィルでとどまることのないようウィル経由で「連続」して親方へ伝えることを表す。
◇appreciate は「高く評価する」
ここにロンドン最新ファッションドレスに身を包んだエリザベスが登場します。総督の娘エリザベスと鍛冶屋のウィル、あまりに身分が違う２人ですが、お互い惹かれあっていて、それを父である総督も知っています。
総:Oh, Elizabeth, you look absolutely stunning.
エ: Will! It's so good to see you. I had a dream about you last night.
ウ: About me?
総: Yes, well, is that entirely proper for you to…?
エ: About the day we met, do you remember?
ウ: How could I forget, Miss Swann ?
エ: Will, how many times must I ask you to call me Elizabeth ?
ウ: At least once more, Miss Swann , as always.
総: There. See? At least the boy has a sense of propriety. Now, we really must be going.
エ: Good day, Mr. Turner .
総: Come along.
ウ: Good day…. Elizabeth .
◇stunning＝「はっとするほど美しい」 eg. stunning beauty（はっとするほどの美人）
◇There.は「ほら」「ごらん」「ね」
◇何度聞いても at least の「（リ）ースト」しか聞こえない。でも「（リ）ースト」と聞こえれば、文脈からat least と判断できるんでしょうね。
propriety＝「礼儀正しさ」
次回はいよいよ、ジャック・スパロウの登場です♪
