東京では知事の公費出費を巡る裁判での判決はその一部を知事が返還しなければ行けないニュースを報道するマスコミがどの料亭を使ったかに焦点を当てていました。
論点が見事にずれています。問題はとの仕事についての話し合いをどうして夜の料亭でするのかです。知事と担当幹部が業者を都庁に呼んで話をすれば良いだけの話です。
全く話が違いますが、鳥取では小学校での集団ウイルス感染が発覚し、緊急の校長会議では学校で必要になったゾウキンやタオルの費用は誰が払うのかが活発に議論されたそうです。
どれもこれも議論の次元が低過ぎて話にならないです。
The verdict in a trial over public moneys spent by the Tokyo governor called for him to refund one portion to the public coffers, but in the report on this issue, the media spent quite a lot of time discussing the history of the restaurant used by the governor for some of his entertaining.
The issue is not of what restaurant he used but of why the government officials did not ask the company staff to the government offices to discuss various policy issues.
And now for something completely different!
There was an outbreak of food-poisoning in primary schools here in Tottori recently. At the urgent headmasters' meeting called to discuss this issue, it seems that a significant portion of the time was used to discuss who will pay for the extra towels and cloths needed for the extra cleaning.
The level of the media coverage and debate is too low.
