今年に入るまでは、地元行政の対応で目立ったのは県レベルが理解力を示し、県の事業が割とスムーズに進むのに対して、市レベルでは我々を意図的に無視していると思われる程冷たい態度でした。
でも2008年に入ると見事に逆転しています。
最近結構書き込みをしている県の高校芝生化物語でお分かりかと思いますが、担当部署では我々の専門知識より自分たちを含めて芝生の分からない人間の意見を優先させる姿勢が確認出来たのに対して、市の保育園園庭芝生化事業の担当者及び街区公園芝生事業の担当者両方から非常に素直な問い合わせが入り、今年度からとても明るい雰囲気になって来ています。
人生って、分からないもんですね。
Readers will be aware that up to this year, the local prefectural government had been consistently positive and receptive in its dealings with my NPO, resulting in smooth progress in several projects, whereas the city administration had ignored our presence in a manner that suggested a deliberate stance on their part.
But the positions have been totally reversed into 2008.
I have posted several comments concerning the conversion of grounds at a local high school, in which staff at the revelant department have shown clearly that they place a higher priority on the opinions of people who know very little about grass, themselves included, than on our specialist advice. Quite the contrary, the city officials responsible for a project to convert play school grounds to grass and for a project to convert local parks to decent grass have approached us with an attitude of a desire to listen and learn from us. The atmosphere has suddenly become far more positive and optimistic.
Life is full of surprises, isn't it?
