私だけじゃなくて、友達もそう。いまどき、珍しくないのにねえ。
FAQ for internatinal couples. It is not rare to see international couples these days!
1， 国籍？ なにジン?
なにジンって、日本語？
相手は米国籍を持つ中国系マレーシア人。
1， Nationality. What is he?
What is he? Rude!
I can say he is American. But， actually， he is
Malaysian Chinese with US citizenship.
2， 相手の国へ行った？
私も彼もある。
2， Have you ever been to each other’s home countries?
We both have.
3， 付き合い始めたのはいつ？
2000年の１月でした。
3， When did you start to date?
January of 2000.
4， どうやって知り合ったの？
私がアメリカの家族と呼んでいる友人のところに、クリスマスに
呼ばれて、その家族の友人宅が彼の両親の家だった。
4， How did you meet each other?
I was invited to my American family for Christmas.( I call
them Mom and Dad.) And， they visited my boyfriend’s mom’s
house.
5， どうやって付き合い出したの?？
その知り合いが、彼が私に気があると、勝手に勘を働かせた。
そして、まず、手紙と電話で、お互いを知り合った。
5， How did you start dating?
That American family was our kind of match maker.
Mom guessed that my boyfriend likes me and suggested me to
get to know each other. We sent letters and talked on the
phone.
6， 何歳？
私は25、彼は28．同じ"日"に生まれたから、ちょうど2歳5ヶ月ちがう。

I am 25， he is 28 years old. Our birthday is same date of a m a month， 1st， so， my boyfriend is older than me by 2 years and 5 months exactly.
7， なんて呼び合ってる？
私は主に名前で。たまに、気分のいいときはhoney。
彼は私がアメリカで使っている名前で。
付き合い始めの頃はsweetyってよんでくれたけど。。。聞いてる?(怒!）

I usually call him by name. When I feel good， I
use "honey".
He rarely calls me， but sometimes uses my American name.
Well， he used to call me sweety， but not now!! Hey，
are you here reading this?
8， 二人とも何語が話せる?
あたしは日本語と英語を主に。
彼は英語、中国語(普通語、台湾語、広東語)、マレー語。
日本語はムカツク、ウルサイ。などの単語少々。
8， List up the languages that you use.
I mostly use English and Japanese.
He can use English， Chinese(Mandarin， Taiwanese，
Kantonese)，and Malay. He knows some Japanese slangs.
9， 2人で話すときは？
英語。
9， How do you communicate each other?
In English.
10， 言葉が原因で思ったことがお互いに伝えきれないことはある？
ない。
3年一緒にいるけど、意思疎通は相当大丈夫！だと思う。(笑)
10， Have you ever been in trouble each other due to language matters?
Never.
We have been together for three years， we have never
thought about this each other.
11， 文化の違いなんかが原因でケンカしたことある?
ない。
11， Have you ever had an argument due to cultural difference?
Never.
12，絶対駄目な、嫌いな食べ物は？
私、鶏の足。ウオー、なんでそんなもの食べれるの?
彼、納豆と生の魚。
12， Do you have any food that you never be able to eat?
I can not eat chicken feet! What is that? Not edible.
He dislikes Natto (Japanese fermented soybeans) and
raw fish.
13， もし同国人だったとしても付き合っていたと思う？
面白いこと聞くねえ。
わたし：きっと。。。（笑）
彼：そうなってみないと分からん。(だから、たとえだって!!）
13， You would be together， even if your boyfriend (girlfriend) were not a foreiner?

I say， Probably..(laughing)
He says， does not matter nationality.
14， ラブラブだと思わず国籍の違いなんか忘れる？ 「やっぱりあなたって○○（相手の国）人だったのね！」と思うこともある？

When he is listening to Chinese music，
when he has so much fun in China town，
and when he is eating chiken feet， I feel cultural
difference.(^0^)

but got much shocked at no reply. He also Matsu Takako， a
Japanese singer and actress， these days.

私:彼は日本人は好きみたいだけど、それが私を好きな理由じゃない。（と、信じたい）笑.私は、彼だから。アメリカ人とか国籍を問わず。
彼:彼女は僕にほれてる。僕が日本人であれ、アメリカ人であれ、関係ないでしょう、きっと。僕は国籍は関係ない、彼女が日本人でなくても好きだよ、きっと。
19， Does your girlfriend/boyfriend likes you because what you are or who you are， in other words， personality or nationality?
I: Looks like my boyfriend likes Japanese girls， but I do not think it is the only reason that he loves me. I hope. As for me， I love him regardless his nationality.
He: She loves me. It does not matter I am Japanese or American. Probably. For me， I love her even she is not a Japanese.
20，国際恋愛をして自分が変わったと思う？

21，子供が生まれたら、どっちの国籍にするのがいいと思う？その理由は？
彼は無頓着。私は二重国籍にさせる。
子供が選べるから。
21， Which nationality do you give to your children? Reason.
He does not care. I give them both， Japanese and USA
citizenship because they can choose when they grow up.
22，子供が生まれたら、何語で話す？
日本語、英語、中国語。理想はね。

23， 国際結婚に賛成ですか?
私:賛成も何も、好きな人がタマタマ違う国の人だけだったってこと
あるでしょ。その人自体が好きなのであって、国際かどうかは二次的
問題でしょ。お互いがいいなら、それが国際結婚でなんであれ
賛成する。

I: More than support or not， love is beyond country borders.
The main issue is you love him/her or not， and
international matters comes next. If two loves each
other， I support the international marriage.
He: Depends on people.
