Decided to join a high school that was mainly about art and there is where I learned the basics about art related stuff. But after 3 years I almost wanted to stop drawing.
"Real art" was just not my cup of tea.. people pissing on the streets, shitting on a canvas and hanging crushed cups in the ceiling? I'm sorry but that will never be art in my eyes.
But I tried stuff I did love though, animated movies and photo was really fun! I really wish I could get into animation again.
After school I didn't draw much at all. Instead I was taking photos on everything I saw and was almost sure I was going to a photo school. I don't know what happened but I didn't. I guess I was just totally sick of school.
2006, after playing alot of World of Warcraft and other useless things, I started drawing again. And now I tried to do it digitally. Started colouring with a mouse in Photoshop, which is not easy at all, really. 2008 I purchased a cheap Trust tablet and Easy PaintTool Sai. I fell in love!
I was drawing all the time and DeviantArt became my new home and there I found alot of other awesome artists that gave me inspiration. I tried to improve as much as possible and Googled alot after tutorials that could help me become a better artist.
I think I started making customised artworks around 2009 which was crazy, I got money for drawing! Unreal! I think after a year I had enough money to buy myself a Wacom Intous 4. Wow it was such an upgrade! How was I even able to draw with the last one I had? I love Wacom! My dream right now is to have a Cintiq...
At this point I also found my boyfriend in World of Warcraft, the only problem was he was from Belgium. But that didn't stop me, I just moved there! I didn't have any work that held me back in Sweden and all I needed was my Wacom and a computer.
2011 I entered a contest on DeviantArt for the first time.
You could win alot of money, a new Wacom tablet and much more and all you had to do was using these 3 stock images provided from fotolia.com.
This painting took me over 90 hours to create. Longest I ever worked on an artwork, there were many sleepless nights.
And when it was time for judging they picked my painting as a first place winner. I was in total chock, I never won anything this big before! Just unreal, really!
It sure gave a little boost of self confidence there.
I still have alot to learn but I wish that someday I will earn enough money as an artist to be able to survive on my own or get a decent art related job somewhere.
The future have many untold stories but one thing is for sure, I will keep on drawing and practise as much as I can!
Well, that's it for now!
Thank you for reading and if you have any questions then go ahead and ask!
