Benefits of Sponsoring a Remote Rescue Course By sponsoring a course, the sponsor has the opportunity to select dates and a location that are ideal for a customized course. The benefits of course sponsorship include customized focus on the activities and environments encountered most by participants, as well as a format and material that cater to the experience level of the group. Remote Rescue is committed to providing flexible, customized classes that provide the best outcome for students and sponsors. Sponsorship also allows for the unique opportunity to hold classes in a field or expedition type setting. Remote Rescue has taught courses on the river in places like Grand Canyon, Salt River and the Arkansas River as well as base camps and many other outdoor classroom settings. Depending on the groups involved, expedition and field courses can add a level of realism and intensity to first aid courses that traditional classroom settings lack.
How does it work? Sponsorship requires a class size ranging from 10-30 students, and sponsors decide if they would like to have open registration for the class or if they prefer to hold the class only for their participants. The sponsor generally handles all location arrangement, sign-ups for the class and collects deposits and payments. The sponsor will pay for instructor travel and reasonable lodging for the duration of the course. This cost may be passed along to students in addition to Remote Rescue’s per student price. As a sponsor Remote Rescue will put a link on our website to yours (with your permission, of course), and we will share any publicity that is generate by the course with your company. *Remote Rescue offered our first international WFR course March of 2010 in Bali, Indonesia. Students who attended this course included river guides from Grand Canyon and their families, Balinese river guides, and aid workers from a variety of international disaster relief agencies.
