Three powerful engines to choose from with strong acceleration and towing.Rated “Good” in front and side-impact crash tests.Stunning exterior styling.Third row seating is available.Front seats are comfortable.High driver seat offers a good command of the road.High-quality materials are used throughout the cabin.Smooth ride due to the four-wheel independent suspension.Impressive cargo space.Plenty of add-ons for customization.All-wheel drive is standard.Wind and road noise are muted for a quiet cabin.
Second row seat is positioned low which is awkward for tall passengers.Third row seat is only practical for children.Third row seat is only practical for children.Fuel-economy is horrible in all three engines.Many more desirable options have to be added in packages, making the X5 grossly overpriced.Large turning circle combined with the vehicle’s heavy weight makes it a little difficult to maneuver and park.Off-road capabilities can’t compete with other models in this segment.The iDrive electronic interface is incredibly confusing at first, and some may feel frustrated by it.
