The BMW X6 SUV Crossover comes in a choice of two basic trims. The first is the xDrive35i and the second is the xDrive50i. The name of the trim denotes the engine that is used in each. Those who purchase the xDrive35i will have a host of standard features. Large 19 inch wheels and sensors in the front and rear for parking are among them. Also included is a special powered tailgate, a sunroof and bi-xenon headlamps that are both automatic and adaptive. This trim will also boast foglamps, wipers that are automatic, cruise and powered and heated front seats with memory for the driver. The interior is full of leather upholstery and the steering wheel offers tilting and telescoping. There is an iDrive interface and a stereo system that has ten speakers, CD player and iPod interface.

The biggest difference with the xDrive50i comes from under the hood. The larger engine that offers more power is the most noticeable change. Of course there is also an upgrade to the front seats, the addition of BMW Assist, Bluetooth capabilities and a navigation system thrown into this trim. Of course, those features are optional on the 35i.

There are a multitude of options for the BMW X6 SUV Crossover. Many of them come in packages so that multiple options can be offered at once. The Premium Sound Package is one such package and it boasts an upgraded sound system with 16 speakers and satellite radio. There is also a Cold Weather package that adds heat to the steering wheel and the rear seats. The Active Ventilated Seat package boasts several upgrades to the seating to give them more ventilation. The Premium package offers the most features and adds in a climate control, navigation system, camera in the rear, shades for the side windows and even keyless entry. A Sport package upgrades the wheels, darkens the trim inside and out and enhances the suspension. Opting for the Technology package gives owners automatic high beams for the lights, a camera with a side view and a head up display.

There are also some options that buyers can choose from alone. Many of those in the packages can be purchased separately. In addition, there is the choice of active steering, a warning system for lane departure, cruise that is adaptive, doors that automatically soft close, extended leather and an entertainment system in the back.
