If you are looking for a sport utility vehicle that offers superb performance as well as a classy and elegant style, then the 2012 Ford Edge SUV Crossover should not be overlooked. The grille has to be the most intriguing part of the vehicle, as it gives the vehicle a unique yet recognizable look. The rear seat can comfortably accommodate three adults, without compromising on the overall cargo space of the SUV. When the rear seats are folded, the total luggage space increases to around 67 cubic feet. The Edge is a great family hauler, and the Ecoboost engine doesn't trade off on a single aspect of performance, but will cost you an extra $1000.

The standard engine is a 3.5-liter V-6 engine, paired up with a six-speed automatic that produces 285 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. The Sport is equipped with a 3.7-liter V-6 engine that bumps performance up to 305 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Most drivers however, are opting for the optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, which is available on all models, except the Edge. This engine accelerates zero to 60 mph in 8.4 seconds while still returning an average of 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

The Edge SUV Crossover is definitely a vehicle designed with safety in mind, making it the perfect family vehicle. It scored "Good" on frontal-offset, side-impact and roof-strength crash tests and can brake from 60 mph in 122 feet. Just a few of the standard features include anti-lock brakes, stability control with avoidance logic, emergency braking assist, engine immobilizer, electronic brakeforce distribution, tire pressure monitoring, child seat anchors, rear door safety locks and a post-collision safety system. This is definitely a sport utility vehicle that you can feel safe and confident driving, whether you are hauling children, pets or just yourself!

The 2012 Ford Edge SUV Crossover comes with significant improvements when compared to the previous models. Retailing between $22,000 and $36,000, the thoughtful MSRP makes it cost efficient. This is especially true when you explore the number of perks it facilitates, including a 3 year/36,000-mile warranty and a 5 year/ 60,000-mile power train warranty. When you consider the great fuel economy, exceptional warranty and numerous safety features, it is hard to pass this vehicle by. Add in the fact that is handles like a dream and offers a smooth ride and you have a winner for sure.
