Used 2011 GMC Acadia SUV Trims & Features

There are a total of five trims available on the GMC Acadia SUV and the features that are standard will be based on the trim selected. The base trim is the SL followed by the SLE, SLT-1, SLT-2 and the top of the line Denali. Choosing the SL trim affords the buyer a standard eight passenger seating arrangement. This is only an option on the upper trims.

Along with the eight passenger seating on the SL trim, buyers will be able to get 18 inch wheels, headlights that work automatically and foglamps. There is also standard privacy glass and a keyless entry system. The interior boasts such benefits as cruise control, air conditioning in the rear and a steering wheel that both tilts and telescopes. Electronically speaking the GMC Acadia SUV SL trim boasts OnStar and a sound system with CD, Satellite radio and an auxiliary jack. Of course an optional Preferred package will wrap the steering wheel in leather, incorporate a remote ignition and offer up Bluetooth.

When one upgrades to the SLE trim on the GMC Acadia SUV they get a few more advanced features. These include the SL standards, the Preferred package and things like a power liftgate and sensors on the rear for parking assistance. There is also powered front seats, a rearview mirror with automatic dimming and a camera in the rear.

The SLT-1 trim increases the size of the wheels, enhances the steering and upgrades the outside mirrors. Climate control is standard and the first two rows are decked out in leather. There is also a trip computer, audio controls in the rear and a better sound system from Bose with 12 speakers and an iPod interface.

The GMC Acadia SUV SLT-2 trim makes the mirrors power folding, adds memory to the driver seat and enhances the passenger seat power options. There are other options that can be purchased with this trim including seats that are ventilated and a special Technology package that throws in things like xenon headlights and audio controls in the cargo space.

The cream of the crop on the GMC Acadia SUV is the Denali. It takes those options from the SLT-2 and adds in some special features. Among them are styling that is designed solely for this trim, increased wheel size, improved sound deadening and a panoramic sunroof. There is also an optional entertainment system with Bose surround sound audio. SLT and Denali can all be given a navigation system as well.
