Build quality and materials used on Acadia are superior to its Traverse relative.Roomier than most competing large crossovers.Liquid applied sound deadeners help reduce wind and road noise for an unbelievable quiet ride.Fantastic crash test results.Abundance of cargo space with rear two seats easily folding flat.Smooth ride thanks to a linked H-arm rear suspension and MacPherson strut front suspension.Secure handling and easy to maneuver.Not as hard to park as you might think, as it has only a 40.4 turning circle.
Vehicle is very heavy, weighing nearly 5,000 pounds.Although acceleration is decent, it can feel a bit sluggish off the line.Lack of V8 option is unappealing to many drivers who feel more confident with a V8 in a vehicle of this size.Chrome interior accents cause a glare to the driver, when the sun beats in and hits them just right.Audio and climate control buttons are quite small, making them difficult to use and unappealing.Long braking distance with the standard 18-inch wheels.
