Performance

The GMC Acadia has had a history of being appreciated for the engineering that focuses on performance and handling dynamics and 2013 will continue this reputation. The 3.6-liter V6 is paired up with a six-speed automatic to deliver 288 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Although front-wheel drive is standard, most drivers will want to opt for the all-wheel drive to enjoy the confident of knowing that they have a powertrain that is capable of reacting to changing driving conditions in the blink of an eye. Also, properly equipped, Acadia will be capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds.

As for the ride, the multilink rear suspension and MacPherson strut front suspension work independently to ensure that bumps and holes in the road remain barely noticeable.

The vehicle is light in design for optimized comfort, and a tight turning radius allows Acadia to be responsive whether you are on a winding road or parallel parking.

Technology

• IntelliLink: Your command center is made up of a high definition color touchscreen for navigation and infotainment. When you add IntelliLink, you are able to control everything by voice and even integrate your smartphone and navigation.
• Navigation: Color turn by turn navigation will help get you where you need to go with multiple map views and SiriusXM Traffic and Weather.
• Rear Vision: Parking and maneuvering are made simple with the rear vision camera. Even in a tight space, you are granted a clear view of what is behind you.
• Universal Remote: The transmitter can be programmed for up to three things, such as your garage door, security system and gate to your community.
• Sound System: 10 Bose premium brand speakers and one subwoofer deliver high-quality sound.

Appearance

Acadia has been redesigned with only one goal in mind, and that is to make a first impression a strong and lasting one. Distinctive new bold lines, a seamless rear quarter panel, attractive moldings, project beam headlamps, LED tail lights and the sophisticated wheels show the attention to detail taken. Not to mention, the new front fascia and hood design offers bold lines while flow-through exhaust outlets highlight the rear end.

Comfort

The 2013 Acadia offers true seating for seven or eight, meaning that the rear seat is not only for children. Access to the third row is granted though GMC ’s SmartSlide Seating System. When you slip into Acadia, you can’t help but be blown away by the numerous upgrades throughout the cabin, helping to put this SUV in a class by itself.

Stitching on seats in all three rows is complemented by attractive trim accents around the instrument panel, as well as calming ambient lighting.

Cargo

Acadia really excels when it comes to cargo. With all seats in place, you are granted 24.1 cubic feet, which is average. However, when the seats are folded down, 116.0 cubic feet of cargo space is granted, which is pretty impressive.
