Used 2012 Jeep Liberty SUV Review & Ratings

The 2011 Jeep Liberty is definitely not an SUV that one would fight for. Jeep was definitely not in the correct place when designing and constructing this SUV. The problems start under the hood with its measly 210 horsepower V6 engine giving this SUV hardly the power that one would want to see on an SUV. The engine hardly returns an average of 17 miles per gallon, which we don't want to see on these new SUVs today either, but rather something that we would see, say back in 2001.

Then you get the interior; we don't know what Jeep was thinking. The 2011 Jeep Liberty gives you a cheap looking dull cabin to ride around in. No style at all. I don't think anyone would be comfortable sitting on the flat seats surrounded by hard materials while using a steering wheel that isn't even telescopic. The cabins controls are easily accessible and fairly easy to use, and it does offer satisfactory enough head and shoulder room. The cargo space does look plentiful at 31.5 cubic feet with an expandable 64 cubic feet when the seats are folded down, which doesn't rival any of the other competing SUVs.

Now, when it comes to the good qualities of the 2011 Jeep Liberty, you will find it when you take this SUV off road, especially if you were to get the Renegade package which completes the Liberty with full-time four wheel drive, skid plates, and tow hooks. The Liberty does ride comfortable enough, but it still disappoints when it comes to handling with its imprecise steering and prominent body roll. But like most Jeeps, the liberty does get the high marks when it comes to taking it off road.

The 2011 Jeep Liberty comes standard with a CD player, fog lamps, six speaker sound system, 16 inch wheels, and just basically all of the basic stuff any base vehicle would come with. If you upgraded to the Limited model of the Liberty, you will receive all that is on the Standard, plus other features. The Limited comes decked with 17 inch wheels, an auto-dimming rear view mirror for those night drives which keeps the lights on the cars behind you from blinding you, an eight speaker sound system among other things. An even higher up upgrade is the Renegade upgrade. This upgrade is for the off-roader. This upgrade comes with most everything from before, and gets an enhanced 4x4 system with tow hooks, skid plates, and a new look. The exterior of the Renegade actually has different trim work compared to the base Liberty.
