Performance

The 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Coupe SUVis powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder mated to a six-speed automatic. Your first instinct may be to put your nose in the air, but this small engine is quite lively with plenty of get-up-and-go. It accelerates zero to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds, thanks to 240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque, and returns decent fuel economy at 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Surprisingly, it can even tow 3,500 pounds, when properly equipped. This vehicle is super lightweight, due to Land Rover’s extensive use of aluminum, and it offers responsive steering that you might not expect from a vehicle of this size. Plus, the turning circle is only 37.1 feet, so you will likely be surprised at how easy the vehicle is to park. Also, this all-wheel drive vehicle has a four-wheel independent suspension to deliver the smoothest ride possible, even on a bumpy road.

Technology

• Audio - The base Meridian® audio system is impressive in itself, as it includes 11 speakers and 380 watts of power, but the Pure Premium package offers an optional 17-speaker surround sound with 10-disc CD changer.
• Rear Seat Entertainment System - Two 8-inch screens are mounted behind the headrests of the front seats play DVDs to keep passengers entertained. The system includes wireless digital headphones and a touchscreen remote control.
• Navigation - The hard disc drive navigation system utilizes an 8-inch touchscreen to provide maps and turn-by-turn directions.

Safety

Crash test ratings are not available on the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Coupe SUV , but with such a high MSRP, this is no surprise. This vehicle does boast impressive braking capabilities though, taking only 118 feet to stop from 60 mph. Just a few of the many safety features to appreciate include:
• Rearview camera
• Traction control
• Trailer sway control
• Stability control
• Parking sensors
• Tire pressure monitoring
• Electronic brakeforce distribution
• Child seat anchors
• Remote anti-theft alarm
• Turn signals
• Dusk sensing headlamps
• Emergency braking assist
• Engine immobilizer

Appearance

Obviously, what makes this vehicle really stand out from other SUVs on the road is that it is a two-door coupe. The striking exterior design manages to blend rugged and elegant elements in one harmonic package. A beefy stance, rear spoiler, high glass black waist finisher and dark atlas front grille and vents are all aggressive features that are softened by curved lines and a sloped roof.

Comfort

That sloped roof may very well turn heads on the road, but it adds to the claustrophobic feel you get in the rear seat, especially in the coupe. Head and legroom is cramped for rear seat passengers, but those in the front will enjoy plenty of space in plush yet supportive seats. As far as design goes, there will be no question that you are in a luxury vehicle when you see multi-tone leather combinations, premium carpet mats with edging and adjustable interior mood lighting that you can control in shades of red, white and blue. Large center storage between the front seats holds those large cups that never fit in standard cup holders, and the “floating” center stack is a nice feature, but it does appear a bit overwhelming with so many controls.

Cargo

Cargo space in Range Rover Evoque Coupe is disappointing to say the least. With only 19.4 cubic feet behind the rear seat and 47.6 cubes overall, this SUV just does not compete with others in this segment.
