The engine had more than enough grunt and the transmission shifted smoothly.The handling showed good poise and body roll was controlled reasonably.The steering was accurate and provided a good amount of road feedback.The brakes performed strongly and the pedal was firm enough to manage the bite easily.The base trim comes standard with modern features for passenger convenience.Getting inside the cabin wasn’t much of a stretch because of the low door sills.The seats were comfortable for long trips and the additional functions worked as expected.The ride quality was smooth and imperfections were absorbed well to minimize harshness.External noise was reduced to maintain a relaxed interior atmosphere.
The engine and drive options are not interchangeable between the two trims.The base trim does not have package options.The full suite of advanced safety and driver aids is only available for the more expensive trim.Bigger wheels and a power sunroof are not available options for the base trim.The doors did not open fully in tight parking spaces.The space for the third row of seats is limited and better suited for children.There are more fuel-efficient vehicles in the midsize SUV segment.The starting price is considerably more expensive compared to a similar vehicle from a more utilitarian brand.
