It has some of the most comfortable seats on the market.Generous cargo space with the rear seat down.Integrated rear booster seats are available.Exterior styling manages to be classic yet modern.Both base and turbocharged engines offer impressive power.Abundance of features available to be added for customization.Cabin is luxurious with Volvo’s floating center stack.Low height makes it easy to load items on top, such as bikes and kayaks.Small turning circle makes the XC70 easy to park and maneuver in tight spaces.Incredibly smooth and refined ride.
Noticeable amount of body roll while cornering and driving on winding roads.Base six-cylinder is a bit sluggish when accelerating off the line.Steering feels disconnected.Scored poorly in braking tests, taking a long 133 feet to stop from 60 mph.Could use more legroom in the back seat.Cargo space behind the rear does not compete with others in this class.Rear s entertainment system is optional, which should be standard at this price.Both engines only return mediocre fuel economy.
