The 2012 Aston Martin DBS Coupe brings James Bond exclusivity and style to the exotic sports car market. The stunning and exciting 2012 Aston Martin DBS coupe is an upgraded and modified version of the Aston Martin DB9. Of course, as you would expect, it comes with a supersized price tag for that curb appeal. Most will agree though that you can't put a price on ultimate luxury!

There are many similarities between the DBS Coupe and the Aston Martin DB9. However, closer inspection reveals some amazing differences. The Aston DBS coupe comes to us with beefier fenders, more air vents, and a much more chiseled body. The Aston Martin DBS Coupe also has a bigger and hardier engine, putting more horses behind the punch. The additional horses make the DBS a little bit quicker on the zero to 60 acceleration speed. This could have something to do with the fact that it also comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, a feature no long available on the DB9. If you thrive on control, you'll get it off the line with this ride.

The 5.9-liter V-12 engine delivers 510 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Surely that has enough power for even the biggest adrenaline-junkie. You can expect to pay for that power at the pump though as it only returns 11 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway. The ride is unbelievably smooth, as you would expect, due to the four-wheel independent suspension, and stabilizer bars in the front and rear.

The DBS does not fall short in safety features either. Stability and traction control, emergency braking assist, engine immobilizer, tire pressure monitoring, four-wheel antilock brakes and high pressure headlamps all offer peace-of-mind. Do not expect to find child seat anchors like some other luxury vehicles in this class; this is not really a car made for children.

Something really unique about this particular Aston Martin is that it is available in 20 exterior colors and 25 different leather interior colors, including rare shades, such as Deep Purple and Spicy Red. This allows for a lot of personalization. Then again, if you're paying the price tag that comes with this car, you more than deserve for it to wear your favorite color. Base starts at a cool $275,461 while the Carbon Black model bumps that a bit to $284,576. Those who have the privilege of owning a DBS agree that it is worth every last penny!
