The 2012 Audi A3 Wagon has been dubbed one of the most practical cars to be produced for the model year. It not only offers a sporty and exhilarating ride, but it is an all-around versatile vehicle that is able to conquer highways, rugged back roads, and grueling pot hole-ridden city roads. The hatchback trunk, which measures 20 cubic-feet, provides ample cargo space. However, that large trunk does come with a price; many complain that the backseat is just too crammed for adults to get comfortable in.

The classy interior design of this sporty vehicle is the result of thoughtfully picked, high-quality materials that have been used in its creation. The 2012 Audi A3 wagon not only turns head on the road with its friendly grille and handsome wheels, it also leaves its guests impressed at the superb finishing of the seats, dashboard and floor. Even the steering wheel is something to marvel at. Surprisingly, there are a lot of plastic elements inside the car, but its design more than makes up for these pieces; many people don't even notice them.

This 2012 Audi A3 Wagon is available in four fantastic trims, including the 2.0T Premium, 2.0T Premium Plus, 2.0TDI Premium, and the 2.0T Premium Quattro. Both the 2.0T Premium and the 2.0 TDI Premium trims have halogen headlights, which have LED daytime running lights, while the other two trims both have Audi xenon plus headlights with the LED daytime feature. All controls are dual-zone, and all models are equipped with an automatic climate control as well as leather seats. Additionally, the Audi A3 2.0T Premium and 2.0 TDI Premium have 17-inch, five-split spoke wheels that are mounted on 225/45 all-season tires. The other two premium trims have 17-inch, 10-split spoke alloy wheels with the same great 225/25 all-season tires.

The Audi A3 Wagon boasts a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that produces 200 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque. While that may not be a ton of power, it is more than enough for passing and merging on the highway. Also, this thoughtful engine returns pretty impressive gas mileage at 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. There is also a diesel option that bumps those figures considerably.

A six-speed manual transmission gives the wagon a sportier feel and the four-wheel independent suspension and front and rear stabilizer bars offer a smooth ride to all passengers.
