The 2012 BMW 3 Series Sedan is of a sleeker design of that of the 2011 model, but pretty much offers the same great features. The notable visual differences include the fact that it has more storage space, a longer overall body length and drivers are granted the ability to customize this 2012 sedan in two unique lines. These include the 328i and 335i.. The technology has also seen an upgrade with a more innovative state of the art full color display on a 6.5" iDrive screen. This 2012 rendition of the 3 Series Sedan allows BMW to live up to its name of producing ultimate driving machines.

The 328i is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 240 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque. It returns 23 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, which is quite impressive in this class. When you move up to the 335i, you are granted a 3.0-liter inline-6 that offers 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. As with other BMW models, drivers love the fact that a six-speed manual is standard.

The 2012 BMW 3 Series Sedan, offers a luxurious ride and look with its stylish interior design including exclusive wood trims, seam patterns with an exquisite stitching, all with neutral colors of beige, blacks and browns. The elegant appeal of the interior matches the sophisticated exterior design inclusive of rearview mirrors, kidney grille bars and a window surround. The wheels on this luxury line are customized with a multi-spoke design with a size of 18' on the 328i trim. The Sport line of this 2012 model has a notable 5-double spoke design on the exclusive wheels, a notable feature of the exterior design. Other exterior features include B-Pillars, silver bars and black inserts in front air intakes. The interior is of a Black Dakota leather with red piping and stitching that is contrasting. It also has a black key with red sport accents on the signature key. Finally, the Modern Line has a modern turbine spoke wheel design on the exterior as well as the usual kidney grille bars.

Safety features are in abundance on the BMW 3 Series Sedan. This includes stability and traction control, post-collision safety system, brake drying when the wipers are in use, engine immobilizer, emergency braking assist, child seat anchors, tire pressure monitoring and a whiplash protection system in the front head restraints. The problem with this sedan is that although it did receive a "Good" rating in frontal-offset crash tests, it only scored as "Marginal" in side-impact tests. Add the fact that it does take 115 feet to break from 60 mph and it has to raise a few eyebrows concerning safety.
