More Used Citroen Sedan Reviews / All Citroen Cars

The Citroen C3 Picasso comes with a wealth of engine choices and trim levels. Customers can choose between 1.4 liter or 1.6 liter 16V VTi engines which push out a respectable 95 and 120 horsepower respectively. The base 1.4 liter does 0-60mph in 13.4 seconds while the 1.6 liter can reach that speed in 11.9 seconds as tested in reviews. Two diesel options are also available, but can be noisy. If you want the extra torque that comes with the diesel package, then all trim levels can be fitted with a 1.6 liter 8V HDi engine. A larger 1.6liter 16V engine is available if you opt for the VT, VTR+, Airdream+ or Exclusive models.

As for the trim levels available, the VT, VTR+ and Exclusive trims are the only options if you want the car to run on petrol. The Blackcherry, Connexion and Airdream+ are exclusively Diesel vehicles. Safety features particular to all trims, including the base VT at $21,500 include Emergency Braking Assistance (EBA) and ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), driver and passenger airbags and remote control high frequency central locking with deadlocks. In its review, the Euro NCAP awarded the Citroen C3 Picasso four stars for safety, particularly praising the especially hardy rubber bumper. Reviews have noted that the seating is nothing special, but for an economic mini-MPV you can't expect much more than height adjustable seats and head restraints. Halogen headlamps are fitted as standard, as well as a panoramic windscreen for maximum visibility. All the modern conveniences you would expect are present: variable power assisted steering, a 12V socket and electrically adjustable door mirrors. An RDS Stereo radio with MP3 capability rounds off the default VT trim. The VTR+ trim at $23,250 features 16" 'Blade' alloy wheels, an adjustable steering wheel, retractable rear head restraints and a multi-function onboard computer. The 'Exclusive' trim at $26,250 doesn't add much other than roof bars for extra storage and an audible warning system for unfastened seatbelts - a welcome addition for a family vehicle for sure but not, in this review's estimation, worthy of the extra $3,250.
