Aston Martin Convertible Reviews

The Aston Martin brand currently has five convertible models in its lineup, but the brand hasn't always been known for its classy convertible models; it became famous through its sleek, sporty sedans. However, with current models like the Aston Martin DBS Volante convertible, the Virage Volante convertible, the V8 Vantage Roadster Convertible, (as well as its S-sporty-counterpart) and the DB9 Volante convertible, the company continues to amaze fans with its special convertible offerings, and they've certainly made a name for themselves as well.

The 2011 Aston Martin DBS Volante has a starting MSRP of $203,015 and is the convertible variant of the Aston Martin DBS Coupe. Its base engine is a 5.9 Liter V-12 that produces 470 horsepower. The Volante gets 13 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. It comes in a special "Carbon Edition," in "Flame Orange" or "Ceramic Grey" to join the popular 2009 "Carbon Black" edition. This Aston Martin, like its other models, comes equipped with amazing technology features such as standard Bluetooth, Satellite radio, integrate iPod connectivity, a Dolby/Pro Logic II Aston Martin Premium audio system, with 6-disc automatic CD-changer, and a USB connector that accepts and plays multiple media formats for maximum compatibility.

The 2012 Aston Martin Virage Volante has a starting price of $222,895 and takes premium unleaded fuel. It features a 5.9-Liter V12 DOHC engine and four valves per cylinder. With numbers close to the DBS convertible, the Virage gets 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway, with 15 mpg combined fuel economy. Like many of the current Aston Martin models, the Virage competes with such vehicles as the Audi R8 and the Maserati GranTurismo. With excellent safety features and innovate style, the Virage can't be called anything except impressive.

The 2011 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster convertible is much more wallet-friendly than the company's other current convertible model with a starting MSRP of only $136,450. The vehicle's power does decrease slightly with a 4.7 Liter V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower, but the fuel economy ratings go up slightly as well. The Vantage gets 14 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway. A long-nosed vehicle with a unique personality, the Vantage also comes in an "S," or sport version, which ups the power, but if you're looking searching for speed, the V8 Vantage Special Edition N420 Roadster, available with race car-like power dynamics, might be more of your speed.

Finally, the 2011 Aston Martin DB9 Volante convertible, which has a starting price of $203,015 and competes with such vehicles as the Ferrari California and the Lamborghini Gallardo, rounds out the excellent Aston Martin convertible offerings. This Volante comes in two special sporty editions- "Quantum Black" and "Carbon Silver," which add more power and a unique attitude to the DB9, while the "Morning Frost" white luxury Special Edition adds hand-stitched leather and frosty cool style. It features a combine fuel economy of 15 mpg and a 5.9 Liter V12 DOHC engine with four valves per cylinder.
