The 2012 Honda Civic Coupe is the beginning of a new generation of the Civic line. Differences in the newer model can be found throughout the vehicle, but the biggest changes are in the way that the car looks and drives. Interior features on the other hand, have changed considerably less, likely because Honda is taking the perspective that "if it isn't broke, don't fix it," as the interior of the Civic Coupe is already considerably advanced. The best thing about the 2012 Civic Coupe is that there are so many options to choose from that numerous people can have one and still not even have the same car. Working against the car though are the small trunk and obnoxious wind noise.

This vehicle is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 140 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. This engine can accelerate zero to 60 mph in 9.2 seconds, which is a little sleepy. The Civic Natural Gas also has the 1.8-liter engine, but horsepower and torque are reduced to 110 and 106 respectively. The 2012 Honda Civic Coupe Hybrid is one of the more popular models as it is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 110 horsepower and 127 pound of torque, accelerating zero to 60 mph in 10.1 seconds. Lastly, the Si gets a 2.4-liter engine that is paired up with a six-speed manual and can deliver 201 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque.

All models have an aluminum-alloy engine block and cylinder head, 15 or 16-inch wheels, and a 13.2 inch fuel capacity that offers 28 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. One thing that Honda decided to keep very similar to previous Civic Coupe models is the interior instrumentation of the car, likely because it has been so well received in the past. The interior instrumentation consists of a 12-volt battery charging indicator, airbag system indicator, blue backlit gauges, ABS indicator, brake system indicator, coolant indicators for temperature, indicators for cruise control, speedometer, door and truck open indicators, fuel economy indicator, and a security indicator, just to name a few. And all of these indicators are supported by the standard Honda Civic two-tier model that many Civic drivers have grown accustomed to.
