ProsImproved battery. Honda disposed of the nickel metal hydride batteries and replaced it with a smaller and lighter Lithium-Ion battery.

ProsThe leg room of the hybrid is increased by more than an inch due to the decrease of size of the battery.

ProsThe Honda Civic Hybrid Sedan 2012 drives quietly and delivers a comfortable ride with just the right amount of acceleration - slightly better than the other hybrids.

ProsBigger engine. This year's hybrid sedan sports a 1.5-liter engine as opposed to the 1.3-liter engine of the 2011 hybrid.
