A whole host of options and packages are offered to help drivers personalize their own Lotus Elise 1.6. Some of these options (including air conditioning and sound proofing) really should be standard. Still, many enthusiasts that enjoy the other aspects of the Lotus Elise 1.6 but don't like the look of a vinyl top may opt for a hard top option. A variety of options are also available for the wheel rims that match a variety of different styles and purposes.

The Sport and Tour Pack is the perfect package for drivers that want a sporty car that's also great for traveling. The lighter Probax Sport seats are included with this option. These seats lessen the weight of the car without sacrificing a high level of comfort. If Sport is the only option chosen, the seats are cloth, but if the Tour Pack is also selected, a choice of leather seats and trims are available. Additional customized color and trim options are also available. Leather trimmed central consoles and connectivity with portable devices are also offered. 14-spoke wheels are also available if at least the Sport option is selected.

To enhance the benefits of the Lotus Elise 1.6's automatic transmission, an SPS Option is also available. This option features a state-of-the-art gearbox is specially designed to maximize the performance of the lightweight convertible. Drivers that opt for this selection are able to easily shift between automatic and fully manual transmission modes using buttons found on the steering wheel. Drivers can use the manual transmission for better performance and control and then switch to the automatic mode when traffic becomes heavy. The steering wheel paddles also allow the driver to switch gears while in manual mode without ever removing their hands from the wheel. This option also features a Sport button that improves shifting performance for both modes.
