Lotus presence did not go unknown at the 2010 Paris Motor Show as the manufacturer released six new and unique designs that are said to show the direction that the company is heading in for the future. One of these head-turning concept cars was the Lotus Eterne Sports Sedan. This sleekly designed automobile is a four door, four-seat GT that could fall into the categories of luxury sedan and sports car and is set to hit the market in early 2015 with a starting MSRP of $190,000. It is comparable to the newly designed Lotus Elite Coupe which will also be hitting the market in the next few years.

Lotus's innovative engineering has once again set the standard with their new line of future cars being eco-friendly and this model has the option of upgrading to a hybrid engine. Lotus has been working with engineers at Toyota/Lexus to come up with their hybrid designs and CEO of Lotus Group Dany Bahar says this was an excellent move. Combining the eco-friendly design of Toyota/Lexus engines with the power and innovation of Lotus will give the line a competitive edge in the market. The public is eagerly awaiting 2015 for the arrival of the Lotus Eterne Sports Sedan. Bahar also stated in his press release that he believes the Eterne will excel in its class.

It is suggested that the vehicle will be powered by a 5.0-liter V8 Toyota engine that will be capable of producing 612 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque. Zero to 60 mph will be accomplished in a quick 4 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph. this powerhouse engine is paired up with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. Hybrid models will be available, which will be powered by electric motors that will greatly benefit from a regenerative braking system. There is also rumor that all-wheel drive will be a possible option.

The styling of the 2015 Lotus Eterne is impeccable. It offers a low-profile, streamlined design that just hugs the road. This is a vehicle you will want to go searching for the winding road in as it will be constructed primarily of carbon-fiber and aluminum to ensure that it is lightweight and handles aggressively. One look at the vehicle and you can clearly see that it gets its genes from the Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera and the Audi A7 Sportback; those are some stellar genes!
