More Used Mercedes-Benz Coupe Reviews / All Mercedes-Benz Cars

First introduced by the German automotive maker Mercedes-Benz in early 2000, the SLK-Class has been a major competitor in the small luxury sports car category. The SLK-Class is a pioneer in popularizing the use of a power retractable hardtop. Before that, most of the convertibles used fabric soft tops that don't really promote safe roof protection, based on safety reviews done in the past. Although the hardtop roofs are more complex and bulkier than their counterpart, they gave a dual-appearance to the cars. The car can appear both like a closed coupe and an open roadster when the hardtop is retracted.

Since the first SKL-class roadster, many enhancements have been made throughout the years. Right now, one of the most advanced models in the SLK-class is the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK350 Roadster. Based on reviews, this current version of the SLK-class roadster has a more dramatic design, a more capable suspension, a more prestigious interior and better performance overall. The various trim levels available for the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class SLK350 Roadster provide more options for those consumers who want a more comfortable, stylish and better performing sports car. During reviews and test drives, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class SLK350 Roadster showed less impressive fuel efficiency compared with the Mercedes-Benz SLK250. The SLK 350 was charted at 20 miles per gallon on city driving and 29 miles per gallon when driving on the highway. The SLK250 did a better job at 23 miles per gallon on city driving and 31 miles per gallon when driving on the highway. During a review and brake test, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class SLK350 Roadster came to complete halt from 60 miles per hour in about 113 feet.

Most reviews say that the 2012 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class SLK350 Roadster is the best handling of all the SLK-class models. Although most of these reviews say that the SLK is more of a touring car than a sporty one, SLK is still a good buy if your budget is not too extravagant. In terms of power and performance, the V6 engine of the SLK350 seems adequate enough for most buyers. It is certainly better than the SLK250, which only has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. All in all, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class SLK350 Roadster is not the best luxury sports car in the market right not but it completes well enough with a similarly priced coupe.
