If you are the kind of person who can compromise on functionality and practicality for aesthetical preferences, we are proud to introduce to you the new Mini Cooper S Coupe! The Cooper S Coupe essentially is the same as the Mini Cooper Coupe with its back seats 'chopped' off. When the Cooper S Coupe we were supposed to review slowly rolled into our parking lot, we were amused at the fact that the Mini engineers have done a fantastic job in making the Mini a two seater. Though much hasn't changed with the Cooper S Coupe, you will immediately notice some sort of difference from the front and this is because of the helmet inspired roof that blends very well to the Coupe's frame. As we mentioned to you already, the Cooper S Coupe is all about looks and traveling in style, not practicality!

The moment we started this review, a couple of things that immediately grabbed our attention were the lost 2 rear seats. We thought the seats would be the significant loss for the Cooper S Coupe owner but it seems that you are actually sacrificing more! The rear visibility is compromised and the cargo space in the Coupe is much less - even though you can stand inside the cargo area once the tailgate is up. So we conclude that the Mini Cooper S Coupe is not about a great package of functionality but it's more about a novelty product with various novel and innovative features. For instance, if you compare the Mini Cooper S Coupe with other coupes, it returns decent mpg that can take you a long way.

We weren't bothered too much by the lack of visibility in the beginning but when the car started cruising above 50 mph, the automatic spoiler popped up slowly and this compromised the already limited visibility even more. Though the car looks short, it provides ample headroom for driver and passenger and this is a definite plus for the Cooper S Coupe. You can say that the 'S' word in Mini has done it justice this time, with a healthy noise produced from the engine. When Cooper S Coupe roars on freeways, its distinct sound will definitely turn heads.

Cooper S Coupe is not the kind of car you buy for utility - this is a car that you can use to spin around town with. Bottom line, if you want to buy a car that is not the most practical but looks awesome, consider getting a Mini Cooper S Coupe.
