Peugeot Minivan Review

There have been a variety of different Peugeot Minivans produced over the years and, due to the fact the Minivan was never really the main focus of the company, they have largely been very utilitarian in nature. Peugeot Minivan Reviews

There have been a variety of different Peugeot Minivans produced over the years and, due to the fact the Minivan was never really the main focus of the company, they have largely been very utilitarian in nature. To some peoples thinking, they were something of an added extra to their range of vehicles on offer with the traditional focus being on the Sedans and Hatchbacks. In recent years, with the troubles Peugeot has had with their North American and Canadian operations being completely shut down, they appear to have refocused their efforts in the commercial van sector in an effort to boost their overall sales and are now producing some very modern and competitive Minivans.

In Europe and Australia, the Minivan market is very competitive with a number of different manufacturers vying to gain the largest share of the market. The reasons for the Minivans popularity, particularly in Europe, is that not only are the streets very narrow and windy making it difficult for larger trucks to maneuver around, but the smaller the commercial vehicle the more opportunities there are for loading and unloading and even parking. These are issues which do not come up as much in North America and Canada and make the Minivan market very lucrative.

The key competitors for Peugeot Minivans represent most of the major van and truck manufacturers throughout Europe and the Far East including the Citroen Berlingom, Mercedes Benz Vitom, Fiat Scudo and the Hyundai iLoad. Most Minivans are customizable, and for example, the Peugeot website and Peugeot dealers offer a build your own Minivan service which allows the customer to customize their van according to their specific working requirements. This customized model is is then custom built for them at the nearest factory.

There are two model of Peugeot Van, the more budget oriented Peugeot Partner and the Peugeot Expert. The Peugeot Partner comes in two different trims, one gas powered the other a diesel version. The Peugeot Partner L1 B9P starts at $22,000 and features a 1.6 liter diesel engine with 88 horsepower and 177 foot pound of torque at 1400 rpm. It has very good gas mileage at 33 miles per gallon for the city and 46 miles per gallon on the highway. The gas version the Peugeot Partner L2 B9P starts at $26,000 and features a 1.6 liter gas engine with a five speed manual transmission. It has 88 horsepower and 177 foot pound of torque at 1400 rpm. It has lower fuel economy at only 21 miles per gallon in the city and 34 miles per gallon on the highway.
