The Nissan Cube Sedan offers buyers a chance to own a vehicle that is both distinctive and full of unique personality. The mini MPV was originally produced for the Japanese market in 1998 and is now sold in Europe and North America as well. On its third generation, the Cube only seems to advance its unique qualities with each new revision. As the third generation was released, the company also released a number of accessories so that the Cube could be personalized even further. This lets owners showcase their own tastes and styles that make them and their vehicle an individual in the crowd.

The Nissan Cube Sedan was released in the first generation in 1998 on the Japanese market. It had the same platform as the Micra and included the same engine. At the time continuously variable transmissions and 4 wheel drive were optional on the Cube. Though some were purchased and exported to other areas, the Cube was designed for, and only sold in, Japan throughout the first generation. Even with the popularity of box shaped vehicles in Japan, the Cube needed some revisions and that led to the second generation being manufactured.

The interior of the Nissan Cube Sedan was increased with the second generation and e4WD system was included as an option. This alternative allows the power to be moved into the rear when the front began to slide. A small electric motor handled this task and ensured that 4 wheel drive was available when it was needed the most. CVT transmissions were optional and were made standard in a stretched out version of the Cube that could seat 7 people easily and effectively. Still, the Cube was only made and sold in Japan, but by this time some had managed to export the vehicle and sell it in other markets.

It was the introduction of the third generation that brought the cube to foreign markets such as Europe and North America. Debuted at the Los Angeles International Auto Show on Nove 19, 2008 the new generation of Nissan Cube Sedan went on sale the same day in Japan. It wasn't until May of 2009 that the first Cube was offered for sale in the United States. The third generation gave a more rounded and curvaceous appearance that was most obvious in areas such as the rear bumper, rear window and driver and passenger windows. The sleek curves are obvious even from the outside and often are considered among the impressive features.

The Nissan Cube Sedan offers comfortable seating for five and has many designs and accessories that add personality to the vehicle. A water ripple motif in the headliner and dashboard give it a unique ambiance inside as do the soft curves, optional mood lighting and accessories like shag carpet for the dashboard. There is an ample amount of leg and head room in the Cube and it offers a plush ride for both driver and passengers.

The Nissan Cube Sedan is compact and carries a low price, but it offers a generous passenger space and is quite fuel efficient. The sedan carries the same platform that can be found in the Nissan Versa which makes it a comfortable but unimpressive subcompact vehicle. In the price range, there are few vehicles that offer the same space and amenities. The backseat reclines and slides to offer more space for both passengers and cargo. The Cube is a unique vehicle that is both practical and fun because of its personality. The performance, however, is simply average so those enthusiastic about performance will find it less than thrilling.
