The Peugeot Bipper Tepee Wagon is one of the most significant examples of the increasing cooperation between the cream of Europe's light car and van producers to emerge in the last few years. The Bipper Teppe was developed by Peugeot, its sister company Citroen and Fiat of Italy as well as a Turkish fledgling auto producer and assembly plant operator by the name of Tofas. The Bipper comes with attractively conceived side windows on both rear doors as well as having the tremendous benefit of two wide opening back doors.

Power for the Peugeot Bipper Tepee Wagon comes from a choice of two engines, beginning with a 1.4 liter four cylinder 70 horsepower HDi diesel engine or a slightly more powerful four cylinder 1.4 liter 75 horsepower HDi version with the 70 horsepower engined version engine with a five speed manual gearbox and the 75 horse-powered coming with a five speed electronically controlled semi-automatic gearbox.

As a dual people/cargo carrier the Bipper Tepee will need a pretty hardy suspension system and this Peugeot have taken care of with Macpherson strut suspension for the front and torsion beam suspension for the rear backed up by a front and rear stabilizer bar.

At 135 inches long by 80 inches wide and around 59 inches tall, the Peugeot Bipper Tepee is not the largest light wagon on the road, but it will carry five adults in relative comfort as well as being a very competent cargo carrier if the need arises. The rear seat passengers have more than sufficient leg room, and with an exact three way split on the bench seats their comfort is assured, both individually and collectively.

With the second row seats in place the Bipper Tepee can hold around 25 cubic feet of cargo or luggage, hidden away under the rear parcel shelf. Fold down the rear seats and store the parcel shelf behind them, a maximum cargo carrying capacity of fifty cube becomes immediately available. And with double doors and a flat floor just 21 inches off the ground, loading and unloading is as easy as could be hoped for.
