It does not matter if you drive the Renault Megane Coupe Convertible with the top up or down, the sun will still be shining on the inside. One of the key selling points of this vehicle is its unique folding hardtop that is made of all glass. Therefore, even in the cold weather, you will still get the feel of being outside. Another thoughtful feature that sets this convertible apart from others is fixed glass wind deflector behind the backseat headrests, which allows passengers to enjoy their ride with the top down without being blown all over, even at high speeds!

This coupe is one of five that Renault has built in this range, and all have had some much needed attention when it comes to the design. The grille at the front is V shaped, the headlights have been tapered and are narrower than before and the Renault logo is far more prominent than those of previous models. The rear lights have benefited from a makeover; they are now LED and far classier looking than that of previous models. You also benefit from a newly designed bumper.

The Renault Megane Coupe Convertible is powered by one of seven powertrain configurations, which includes six gas and one diesel. These are combined with either a continuously variable, dual clutch or annual transmission. None of the engines excel in terms of power, which is a good thing considering the weight of the glass roof makes the vehicle significantly heavier. This is a vehicle you drive to cruise around in and be seen, not speed by in a hurry. There are no complaints about the ride itself either as the Megane offers a smooth and composed ride with no noticeable body roll on turns. Of course, the new electronic power steering system and a stiffer chassis has a little something to do with improved handling as well.

This convertible is one that is as thoughtful as it is attractive. Most convertibles fail miserably when it comes to trunk space, but the Renault Megane Coupe offers 14.7 cubic feet of usable space. Even with the top down, you are still granted 7.45 cubic feet, which is unheard of. Renault also threw in a few luxury features that you don't see on many vehicles, such as hands free starting, electric parking brake, navigation system and customized settings that can be programed by different drivers for preferences on volume and daytime running lights.
