Unchanged much from 2011, the new Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium Sedan review shows off it's new exterior that has grown in virtually every direction. The 2012 redesign helps set the Legacy as a firm contender against the other mid-size sedans available out there. Aside from the minor changes in appearance, Subaru has been accommodating the casual driver more often as the years go by based on reviews. An increased cabin size, and the optional automatic transmission, are two signs of this fact with the Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium. Still though, Subaru knows how to please it's core customer base with the standard 6-speed manual transmission, and standard all-wheel drive on all makes and models.

The main difference this year for the 2012 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium Sedan review is the fact that it appeals more to the luxury class. Having been refined, and increased in size, the Legacy is growing to accommodate families, and the typical everyday drivers like their competition has been doing successfully for years. What Subaru lacks in appeal, it more then makes up for in reliability and comfort. With an increase in cabin size, you can expect to take long day trips, and remain comfortable the entire time based on buyer reviews. Large enough to fit a family of four or five easily, the Legacy 2.5i Premium Sedan also has the 60/40-split rear seat, and spacious trunk size. The doors have lost their frame-less design appeal, but are plenty large enough to get in and out of easily for any size person.

When it comes to safety reviews, the Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium Sedan does not disappoint. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rated the Legacy a perfect score in terms of safety. With the new stronger body structure introduced this year, it's no wonder the Subaru is receiving such stellar safety mark reviews. Almost every Subaru in existence is rated highly in these categories so it's no surprise that the Legacy 2.5i Premium Sedan follows suit. The all-wheel drive coming standard on the Legacy, and for all Subarus for that matter, helps ensure safety while driving in bad road conditions as well. This is probably why the Subaru Legacy is so popular in areas of the country where it snows a lot, like New England.

As for the 6-speed manual transmission review that comes standard with the Legacy Premium model, lets just say that it fairly disappoints. In terms of performance it lags behind faster makes and models of the same size, and when it comes to gas mileage we've seen better. At a paltry 19 city, and 27 highway, the fact that the 4-cylinder engine couldn't work better percentages is a mystery. Most attribute this fact due to the all-wheel drive that comes standard. When it comes to stability and handling though, the Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium Sedan does well in reviews. Sure footed-ness, and the ability to go through any weather situation comfortably will be a positive benefit for those of you located in commonly bad weather locations.
