asteroidOS [looking for - musicians, composers, animators, writers, testers]

Hello Scratchers!

So I know there are a LOT of OS out there, but I wanted to make an OS. This is the APPLICATION thread. If you want to find the real thing: (will insert link once we have a decent amount of participants.

In case you don't know, an OS is an operating system. Here are some examples: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/96972896/ and https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/53299666/.

Basically, this OS will have all kinds of apps (movies, short animations, games, books, etc.) The design style of the main pages will be minimalist, like Windows or Apple. But the apps will be different styles.

Anyway…..

I'm looking for:

- designers
- coders
- composers/musicians
- animators
- writers

These are the requirements:
- must be active, respond to comments within about 3-4 days, and complete assignments within a reasonable deadline, and give warnings for inactivity (I get it if you have school, I do too!!)
- must abide by the community guidelines, all work must be your own
- be creative and ready to have fun

Note that this may take a long time, so please be ready to work hard and long! If you decide that you no longer have time for this, feel free to leave, you will still get credit for the work you do!

If you are a composer/musician, animator, or a writer you will be most into app development and will likely have less work to do. For example musicians/composers will work on the music app as well as background music for apps. Animators will create short “movies.” And writers will write poems/short stories for the books, or come up with a storyline for a game.

So, here are the application forms. If you want, you can apply to more than one spot, however you can only be head/assistant head of one section:

hey! I looked at some of your projects, and was wondering if you would be interested in becoming an animator instead? if not, that's ok! (or you can be both with an emphasis in animating or designing?)

Date Joined: This is my newer, second account. I have been on Scratch for a few years now, even before 2.0.
Style (pixel, flat, material): Any. I can use Blender for a more 3D Effect though.
Basic Coding Ability (rate 1-5): 4.5
Examples (1-2 that demonstrate your style to the best): Well… I have no “good” examples, as this is a new account, and all my really big projects are in dev, and I never posted much on my old account… Please, just take my word that I am experienced.

Chapter 1

Mike was biking across a plain dirt road of Woodlandia, known for forest fires. Nobody knows why they called their city Woodlandia, but nobody really cared. Mike stopped at his school, Woodville Elementary school. Woodville was Woodlandia’s name before, but the citizens had to much pride, so they became Woodlandia. Mike walked in the school, and saw massive posters that said,”HOORAY!” hung on the wall. Apparently, their running team got 43rd in the district, out of 47 schools. Somehow, they take this as an accomplishment. Mike went straight to the No purpose room, because this room has no purpose. The school calls it the best purpose room though, because they think everything is purposeful. Mike walked in the the loud room, filled with students shouting, music blaring, and the teachers on stage chatting. “Welcome everybody! We have achieved 43rd place in the district!”, said the principal, Mr. Jillkardy-Jones. Somebody turned on the music super high, and everybody started screaming. Running team members were held up in the air, and clips from their running that were edited to look flashy came on the giant projector to reflect on a movie theater sized screen. Confetti was thrown in the air, and the lights turned rainbow. “It’s funny that the school puts so much money into this, but they don’t really care about the education”, he thought.

Meanwhile……………

“Alright boys! Got your disguises?”, asked Dylan, a cyborg. “Yup!”, shouted thecrew members, which were so far Savell and Rex. They were getting ready to go to Planet 5-1-18-19-8. Their spacecraft was ready to launch at full blast, so they got in. “Okay guys, get ready!”, Dylan yelled. 3……..2………1……..Pshhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Back at Woodville Elementary

“Okay guys, here is your question : 3 + 14 = 17”, said the teacher.”Ugh….”, Mike thought.”Why does he give us question when he gives us the answer as well. Plus, we learned addition in Preschool!”. Psh…….”Wait, what is that sound?”, he thought. “Teacher, I think I hear something”, Mike asked. “Hm…….ohhhhhh, I hear it…….WAIT WAIT WAIT ITS GETTING LOUDER! RUNNNNNN!!!!”. Students all over the place screaming and shouting. Kids were rushing, piling out the classroom doors and evacuating the building. The fire alarms were running. Everybody thought they were gonna die

In the ship….

“Okay, let’s check our landing position”, Savell said. “Let’s see…….wait, we’re landing on the roof of a school? What the heck?”, Rex asked.”Well, yeah, there’s pretty much nowhere around here that we can land”, Dylan answered. “Welll…… why are there people running everywhere?”, he asked again. “Wait what? I thought we were invisible!?”. “Well….I forgot to turn the sound down…..”, Savell shouted. “Dang it! Now we might not see the person we actually meet!”, Dylan said angrily. “Well………ummm…………………….”,Rex thought. “Wait! What is happening!” Rex shouted. Monsters were running all over the roof of the school. In the middle, was a big dark figure. He has a glowing staff, and was what looked like to be energizing himself. “Aha! I know who that is! It is…..the one……..and only……….Dominic Enwoooooooooooo!!!”, Dylan shouted. “Well……..is he a good guy?” Rex asked. “Ummm……no. He took over the sun when he was 37. Now he is 42, and he is still growing stronger. He is also a cyborg, like me”, Dylan explained. “So…….what are we going to do?” Savell asked. “Destroy them!”Dylan yelled. They jumped out of the ship, and took out their Dual Auto-Fire Laser Rifles. 20 monsters went up ahead. Just then, a giant meteor crashed onto them. And there they went………..
