Transport Creations' Review

First Impression: 9/10

When first arriving at Transport Creations, I saw three things:

1. Your banner
   
2. Your introduction
   
3. Your directory
   

I think you did a great job with your original post. It really grabs your attention! The title is nice, it's got a few announcements like ‘grand opening’, ‘now hiring’, and it has your title and subtitle. I think it works really well with the default Scratch font, actually. The symbols, while I'm rather unsure as to what they represent, work better (in my opinion) than just

text || more text || ending text

It jazzes it up a little. I think your banner looks great, however, the text is a little hard to read on top of the background, especially the subtext (commuting designs to perfection). I feel like if you were to make the text stand out somehow, that would make it exponentially better. Some ideas I have are:

• Blurring the image slightly
  
• Adding a shadow to the text
  
• Adding a partially transparent box behind the text
  

Still, you've done a great job with your banner. It fits very well with your theme, which I think can really help distinguish a shop from its competitors! Also, your introduction is perfect - it's short and to the point, but has all the information you need. Lastly, your directory is simple, but effective. All the links work (I checked), and the redirecting banners work as well! One thing that bothers me a little bit is the fact that ‘Banners’ isn't indented as much as the other links. Still, your directory looks great, so a tip of the hat to you!

Original Posts - Content: 9/10

Your posts all look great. The links all seem to work, and the content there is not only useful, but phrased in an interesting way. I think you've done a great job! I especially like the fact that you made sure to leave a link to the bump banners for customers and employees to use. You've also incorporated your shop's theme a lot, and done it in a way that doesn't look tacky, but, rather….professional. Nice job with that! I also like how you noted your shop's stance on joining federations and currencies. I'm sure potential customers will find that very useful!

Bulletin Board Code: 9.5/10

You seem to show a strong mastery of BB code. This is especially evident in your first post. You've nailed doing links and coloration, among other things. However, sometimes using lighter colors like yellows can make your text hard to read. I'd suggest trying a color picker and perhaps doing something more like a sand tone . This just improves your readability, which is something that I look for a lot as a customer!

Product: 9/10

First of all, your staff did a wonderful job with my order. It turned out fantastic! I think the only change I would possibly have made if I were going to be using the product would be to request it to be resized into a more rectangular shape. Still, it looks amazing! And I have absolutely no doubt that your staff would ensure it looks incredible, no matter what changes are requested. I think it's absolutely perfect for a watermark, and I love it!

Speed: 10/10

If I were to award 11/10 in any category, it would be here, hands down! The speed of my order being completed was simply astonishing. About 2 minutes after posting, my order was taken, and then it was finished and I was notified about ten minutes later. May I just say that is amazing? Please, give yourself a pat on the back. I could go on and on about that for a long time - you did wonderfully with getting my order to me fast.

Customer Service: 10/10

I had absolutely no issues here! The staff member who did my order was very kind and did a wonderful job. They also notified me on my profile just like I asked. If this were a product I planned to use rather than one for a test order, I would have requested a resize, and I'm sure they would have been very gracious about it (as they always are!). And while customer service is a rather difficult thing to mess up, you guys still excelled at it, so thank you! It can truly make or break a customer's opinion of a shop, and I have to say I think you did quite well with it.

Staff: 9/10

I think you've done pretty well so far in this department last I checked. While you only have 3 staff members total, that's perfectly fine. After all, larger shops can be harder to manage! Also, I think your application is a bit more comprehensive than most shops', which is always good because it lets you get to know an applicant better. One thing I especially love is that you ask for potential employees' pronouns and make sure to list them in an easy-to-find place. In the current world, that is definitely something people should do more of! Your shop does seem to be rather selective of the people you hire, but I would like to emphasize that that is okay. Most owners tend to hire almost every applicant. While there's nothing wrong with that, you'll definitely make sure you only hire those who are a true fit for your shop!

Productivity: 9/10

I use two different measures to see how efficient and on topic you are as a shop: OPP (Orders Per Page) and SI (Spam Index). As you have 5 completed orders and 5.65 pages, your final OPP score is 0.88 . Nice job! You're right about average, so just keep taking in those orders. Spam Index scores are directly related to the percentage of posts which are spam. (This includes bumps.) Upon evaluating your 113 posts and finding 12 spam posts, your final SI score is 0.11 . That's quite good! As most shops will have their amount of spam increase as they expand, it's totally normal to not have a low number. Still, yours is quite impressive.

Partnerships: 7/10

For such a new shop, you seem to have found partners really quickly! That's great, because it can give you both more exposure. However, I haven't seen much interaction between you and any of your partners here yet, or any ways that you and one of your partner shops have helped each other. That's okay, especially for a new shop, but still, maybe brainstorm some ideas of ways you can help each other.

Shop Environment: 8.5/10

I think you definitely have a good environment here! Orders are done quickly (it definitely makes you feel like the staff truly care about you, which I'm absolutely sure they do; they're amazing Scratchers!) and everyone is really just very kind to one another. It feels like a really welcoming place here. However, a lot of potential employees may get turned off by being rejected, although I do want to emphasize the fact that you do it in a kind and professional way, which can truly go a long way. I think your shop, if you keep putting in the effort I've seen already, will go very far someday.

Final Impression: 90/100 - A+

Overall, Transport Creations is a wonderful shop. I think you definitely have a great theme going, and you tie in a lot of aspects from your shop, but not to the point where it's annoying. If I wanted to find a graphic design shop, I would very likely pick this one!

Advice:

• Make slight modifications to your banner
  
• Check spacing on the directory links
  
• Change up lighter colors to make them more readable
  
• Consider reaching out to Scratchers who might be a good fit and ask them to apply
  
• Advertise a little to bring more orders in
  
• Find more benefits for partners
