Bring back the "Comment ()" block
So, if you've been in the Scratch 1.2 Beta before, you've probably heard of this
comment [I'm an old comment block from Scratch 1.2 Beta!] :: greyAnd it's been removed, and I want it to come back. Search up this block if you don't believe this existed.

Bring back the "Comment ()" block
Why should it come back, and what difference does this bring from the current comment block?

Bring back the "Comment ()" block
I think that they removed this for a reason (that reason being that people were confused and thought it was supposed to do something), but I do still personally think that the idea of a comment which takes up physical block space is intriguing.
but… comments are still in Scratch……In a completely different format with none of the advantages of the old one , yes. What exactly is your definition of “shouldn't matter”? If it didn't matter, they wouldn't have made this suggestion in the first place.

Bring back the "Comment ()" block
Sorry - it never made it past the beta because it was confusing to beginners. They felt that all blocks in a stack of blocks should do something - and comments don't do anything. So we changed direction and went with comments that can be attached to stacks - but clearly are not part of it.
