Something I just thought of was that you could make a medieval themed boss, where you first have to climb a tower, and using a special type of shield to dodge otherwise unstoppable arrows (or you could dodge and jump over them, lol) and then at the top, the king throws you back down into the town and you brawl against him with his citizens throwing objects at you. Don't ask how I thought of this, I have a weird imagination.

A space ship with aliens on it and an alien king thingy attacks you. And then you die.
