Comments from a Deleted Account?
Hi! So I was hanging around a chatroom studio the other day when I stumbled across a comment made by an account that doesn’t exist! This is the first time I’ve ever encountered something like this, so I’m curious if anyone else has noticed this or has knowledge about this. Thanks!
Here’s the link if you’re curious. ^_^
Edit! Did some more digging and the fact that their user-page thingy doesn’t exist might be because of the redirect that happens now because of the removal of the remix tree feature (rest in peace.) …?
@friendlyremixtree redirects to @friendlyremixes.
So would that happen for every username with the letters “remix tree” in it?
This is potentially problematic because Scratchers are unable to report inappropriate profile pictures.

"Don't worry, if the account doesn't exist that means they got BANNED!
“ Also, if it was like ”oh go to here or i ip ban you" Just be mature, report it and ignore it.

No, I’m sure the account wasn’t reported or banned because they continued to make comments, even after I had clicked on their account and found the 404 page.

It redirects automatically to FriendlyRemixes due to that.

Usually when you find that, it's because the account has been deleted or banned. However, in this rare instance, that's not the reason, because they visibly commented after
you noticed the account was gone.
In this case, scratch has been recoded to change remixtree to remixes, because they've removed the remixtree page. (That's a whole other big discussion going on right now, there are valid reasons why, and hopefully it might be temporary while they fix the remixtree If you want to know more about that, go here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/845291/ ) So becuase their account is scratch.mit.edu/users/friendlyremixtree, it gets changed to scratch.mit.edu/users/friendlyremixes . The person should just ST about this issue if they want it fixed.

Yep, thank you!
I believe the account was created to take advantage of this redirect, but I’ve learned that, since username links aren’t case-sensitive, you can still access the account by typing @friendlyremixtrEe instead of @friendlyremixtree.
