With one week to go in the season, four players are in with .300-30-100 seasons.
Miguel Cabrera: .329-32-100
Albert Pujols: .328-47-132Ryan Braun: .316-30-107
Derrek Lee: .306-35-109
Three others are on the bubble on batting average.
Kendry Morales: .303-32-102
Adam Lind: .302-32-110
Prince Fielder: .297-43-137
Three others appear to be falling short on batting average.
Mark Teixeira: .294-38-120
Chase Utley: .290-31-91
Ryan Zimmerman: .288-32-101
Joe Mauer (.371-28-92) needs some home runs and RBIs.
Carlos Lee (.300-26-99) needs some home runs.
Maybe this will stir some interest in looking at box scores in the final week.
If Adam Wainwright gets a win in his start this week, he will become the first National pitcher to have 20 wins, 200 strikeouts and an ERA under 3.00 since his teammate, Chris Carpenter did it in 2005. Roy Halladay of Toronto did it last year.
