NJBM Kids’ Hot Korner: Mike Schmidt

March 3, 2013 by · 2 Comments

Hey baseball fans!

I just put up my latest post in the Kids’ Hot Korner section of  New Jersey Baseball Magazine .  This one is extra special, since it’s about my all time favorite player,  Mike Schmidt . If you’d like to read the article, just  click here .

And tune in again real soon for more of “all the buzz on what wuzz.”

Matt Nadel is a 14 year old baseball history kid blogger from Springfield, NJ who writes two baseball blogs under the name, Baseball with Matt.  Matt started  his original blog  back in April 2012 when he saw that a lot of his friends didn’t know anything about baseball history and he thought that a blog would be a fun way to educate kids and adults about baseball history.  After posting nearly 85 times, he was introduced to John Thorn, the official historian for MLB, and John liked Matt’s blog and arranged for Matt to have  his own Pro Blog on MLB , making Matt the youngest Pro blogger on MLB.com. You can also follow Matt on Twitter @BaseballwMatt.  Baseball with Matt is a member of the Baseball Bloggers Alliance.

Matt,I agree that Mike was definitely one of the greatest 3rd basemen of all time, and you really did your homework on him. Growing up in Baltimore, Md, Brooks Robinson was my favorite, not only because I am an Orioles fan, but because he could play the “hot corner” like no body else. He was the MVP of the 1970 World Series, and also won numerous gold gloves. Keep writing these great articles, for you have a great future ahead of you.

Thanks for the kind words Don.
