Barn Door Shower Doors - What?!
by Damon Cundiff on 03/11/15
Yes, that's what they're calling them (unofficially) -
Barn Door Style Shower Doors. They are the latest and greatest in shower doors, and you guessed it, we got 'em! Why are they so hot right now? People love the frameless glass look, but not everyone has room in their bathroom for a hinged door to swing into the room. To solve that problem, frameless sliding and bi-fold glass shower doors are now available. The most popular of the styles is the "barn door style", as the roller hardware is similar to a barn door. There are other new styles as well, check out the images below. For all new styles available, please view our
Shower Door Page
. How much do these shower doors run? Estimates are free, just call 928-527-3333.

What the heck does "beveled" really mean?
by Damon Cundiff on 02/17/15There seems to be much confusion about beveled glass. Most people will call us, order a glass table top, and say, "Just bevel the edge". We have come to realize, that most people don't really know what that means. So, let's clear things up. Beveled glass table edges became popular in the 80's, and that term has lingered well into this millennium. With a beveled edge, the indent edge can be ordered to specifications, usually 2 inch is the maximum. (See images below). A flat polished edge is simply a polished glass edge, yes, that simple. A pencil polish is a half round polished edge. You guessed it, like a pencil. Beveled is usually the most expensive, followed by pencil polishes, and the flat is the least expensive. Hope this clears things up.

Do you want the job done fast? OR do you want it done RIGHT with a LIFETIME warranty?
by Damon Cundiff on 06/04/14This is the question people are posed with when getting a window repaired. Perhaps this has happened to you. You clean your window, inside, then out, but it still looks hazy. You realize the filmy haze lies between the panes of your dual pane window. You call a glass company and they tell you they can take it apart, clean it and put it back together for you today. Sounds great, right? What they aren't telling you is that without performing the work in a hermetic enviornment (which means super, super clean! free of dust, lint, and finger prints), and being properly sealed, it is likely that you will see such items in your glass and the seal will probably fail again.

3 Reasons to Replace Windows in SPRING
by Damon Cundiff on 04/25/141) When the weather is warm, you're not thinking about how drafty and cold your windows are in winter, so most people forget about replacing their windows until it gets cold. We do replace windows in winter, but, yes, cold air will come in while we are working.
Replacing windows in warmer weather is certainly more comfortable.2) Many older windows don't open very well anymore. Enjoy easy open windows all Summer.
3) Older windows often have old screens with rips and holes. New windows come with new screens to keep flies, bees, and mosquitos out all Summer.
Don't get caught in the cold this year, call now for a free estimate (928) 527-3333

To repair or replace? That is the question.
by Damon Cundiff on 02/06/14Your dual pane window seems to have moisture between the panes of glass. Do you repair or replace your window? There has always been much confusion in this area for most people. Since I've always been a fan of a good analogy to help explain things, here we go. When your car break downs, no matter what make or model, or how old, your car can be repaired. Replacing the battery, the brakes, a belt, or your windshield, is “repairing” your car. Even t hough you “replaced” a part, ultimately you “repaired” your car.
Windows are no different. A window is made up of many different “parts” - crank handles, rollers, sashes, frame, spacers, and of course, glass. All of which, are parts that can be replaced, whereby repairing the window.
Back to the dual pane unit that has moisture between the panes - What to do? repair or replace your window? If you answered, repair, you are correct. Even though we will "replace" the dual pane glass unit or "part" we are technically repairing your window.
So, in what circumstances would you want to REPLACE your window? If, as we stated earlier, your window can always be repaired. Back to the car analogy...have you ever had an older car that needed so many repairs, you thought, "Maybe I should just get a new car instead of repairing my old car?" Same thing with windows. And just like getting a nice, fancy, comfortable, and, of course stylish, new car, window are the same way. New windows are more energy efficient, they open and close easily, and of course, they look nice and new. (Check out our window replacement page for more about how to select new windows, and to see our before/after photo gallery. Visit our window repair page for more about repairing your window.)
To repair or replace? That is the question. And only you can answer that. In most case, a repair is the best approach, but if you have older windows, you may want to consider a window replacement. If you want a little advice or a free estimate, just give us a call. Oh, and by the way, when you repair your dual pane window glass with us, it comes with a lifetime warranty against seal failure!

Lowest Price Guarantee What does that mean?
by Damon Cundiff on 02/06/14As the owner of a small business, for years I struggled with “price matching.” If you offer a low price guarantee, do people translate your product or service as inferior, or of poor quality, or even worse...cheap?

Let's talk Shower Doors: Framed, Frameless, and Semi Frameless
by Damon Cundiff on 01/16/14I have found this topic causes a bit of confusion. Sometimes when people hear the words Frameless Shower Door they assume there will be no frame - at all. The difference between a Framed Shower Door, and what we refer to as a Semi-Frameless shower door is - the door itself.
Below are some recent shower doors we have installed. We also have a variety of shower door options on display in our showroom. Just stop by and we'll help you design your new shower enclosure.
