Website News
The website is at a little bit of a standstill (not
your fault Mike Lawson), but Beverly Copeland Gaspardand I
have been "a little crazy" at our mutual homes!!! We have heard good comments
from many of you about wanting to help with the financial aspect of maintaining
a website.
Since Janette Light Nortonoffered
to pay for the first year's monthly fees (approx $9.95 per month), we have also
heard from others offering their financial support: Janette also priviously
suggested that as many as possible on the e-mail mailing list could contribute
$5.00 or more to put in a fund for future internet expenses on maintaining the
"future" website.
I believe a web site for our graduating class is a great idea. I know all of us
that graduated from TJ feel that 1968 was a special year. While I am one of the
ones that have left the area and do not stay in touch with friends from the
those years at TJ, I still feel attached to all those that graduated with me.
Since Janette has offered to pay for the first year, I will pay for the second
year. Perhaps we can get this going and in short order have it up and running
and paid for several years in advance. Just let me know where to send the
check. Billy

Ron and I would be more than happy to contribute to a fund to get and keep a
website. I'm sure that most of our friends would feel the same way! I
enjoy hearing about our classmates.
Betty Waedemon
I would be happy to contribute to the web site fund.
from Linda Blakley Rindlisbacher rindlisbacher@sbcglobal.net
I would be happy to help by sending money for
the website, just to keep it going. Who do I send the money to?
When we get a fund set up, we will
send information on where the money should be sent. Thanks from Linda, Mike, &
Beverly!!!

Mailcall!!!!!
from Linda Blakley Rindlisbacher rindlisbacher@sbcglobal.net I was at TJ for only a short time, as my Dad
was a Marine and stationed in Port Arthur although my sister Nancy Lowther
remained in Texas after marrying Dick Lowther. They now reside in Carrollton. I
go back twice a year to visit all of my family in Carrolton ,
Austin and my Aunt in Kerrville.I loved my
time in Texas, very fond memories. I also have very fond memories of my Jr High
years at Woodrow Wilson.

I GUESS YOU COULD SAY THAT I JUST NOW JOINED THE COMPUTER AGE, A LITTLE
LATE, WOULDN'T YOU SAY? IT'S A TOUGH THING FOR MOST OVER THIRTY SOMETHINGS. DON'T YOU REMEMBER WHEN ONLY OUR TEACHERS WERE 60 AND ABOVE? I HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND MY TYPING, 10TH GRADE IS ONLY A FADING MEMORY, AND FADING FAST. KEEP ME UPDATED, THANKS . from Joan Moras Nielubowski
joan.nielubowski@epcglobal.com
Thanks for adding me to the list. I'm a very lucky woman. My three daughters
and four grandchildren all live near me, so I can see them often. I live
in Frederick, Maryland which is located between Washington D.C. and Baltimore.
It's very quaint and charming -- but growing rapidly. I just bought a little
old house downtown which I love. I can walk to most everything.
My
working life has been in the field of Human Resources. It has been fun and
rewarding and given me the chance to visit places that I probably otherwise
would not have.
Overall life is good: filled with good friends and family and peace. I wish all
of you the same and hope to see our classmates again some time.

********************************************************************************************************************************** NEWS FROM IRAQ I received this e-mail from my nephew in Iraq and hoped that all of you would
enjoy the story as much as Murphy and I did!!
Nanny,
I just thought I'd let you know a little story about the pen you
sent to me in one of your first care-packages. It was a metal ball point pen
from one of
the hospitals around your area. I have been carrying that pen with me since we first got here in January and it has become my lucky pen. It's still holding up and all the paint is worn off of the barrel. The other day we signed a Charter between the U.S. and the Iraqi Ministry of Municipalities and Public works to improve an impoverished area north of Baghdad. The people there have no sewage or storm drainage capability and there are nearly 750,000 people living there. The conditions are very poor. Anyway, they needed a pen for the Iraqi Minister to sign the Charter. I offered mine. During the ceremony he held the pen up and said this is a special pen for signing. I think he wanted it!:-) So by default you and Murphy have helped make a little piece of
Iraqi National history!

me know. Also, there is a player at Photodex.com called Photodex Presenter they
can down-load free, that is if they want to play it on PC. We have had problems
down-loading in the past, but this player produces real good quality during play
back. Please tell them thanks so much. Mike
