Padecimiento de situaciones de violencia temprana y sus implicaciones en la vida adulta un análisis entre mujeres en situación de sinhogarismo en diferentes contextos culturales y socioeconómicos

Resumen
Introducción. El artículo analiza el padecimiento de situaciones de violencia antes de los 18 años de edad y sus implicaciones en la vida adulta entre mujeres en situación de sinhogarismo (n=292) en cuatro países hispanohablantes con importantes diferencias socioeconómicas y culturales: España (n=136), Argentina (n=72), Puerto Rico (n=54) y Nicaragua (n=30). Material y métodos. La información se recogió mediante cuestionarios heteroaplicados a modo de entrevista estructurada, lo que permitió garantizar la homogeneidad de los datos y evitar posibles problemas derivados de potenciales dificultades de lectura y comprensión por las entrevistadas. Resultados. Las mujeres en situación de sinhogarismo entrevistadas en los cuatro países habían padecido en gran medida violencia física o psicológica, agresiones sexuales y violencia en el entorno familiar antes de cumplir 18 años, así como múltiples y graves sucesos vitales estresantes violentos, problemas por consumo de sustancias e intentos de suicidio en la vida adulta. El padecimiento de situaciones de violencia en la infancia tendía a concentrarse de manera especialmente intensa en determinadas entrevistadas. Se observa una fuerte relación entre el padecimiento de situaciones de violencia en la infancia y el consumo de sustancias, la realización de conductas autolíticas y el padecimiento de situaciones de violencia después de los 18 años. Discusión. Resulta necesario implementar políticas públicas, programas de prevención y dispositivos de atención con perspectiva de género orientados a minimizar el número e intensidad de las situaciones de violencia que padecen las mujeres y niñas en riesgo de exclusión social o en situación de sinhogarismo.
