The UHCL Management and Leadership Certificate enables you to acquire the most up-to-date philosophies, methodologies and tools necessary to establish strong core competency in the practice of management and leadership principles within the context of today's challenging environment. Designed for aspiring or newly promoted supervisors to front-line and experienced supervisors who wish to elevate their skills, knowledge and resources. Your instructor will guide you through the thought-provoking, interactive and participant-centered courses - taking you from business theory to business reality; prepared to meet real life challenges. Individual detailed course descriptions may be accessed by selecting the course title from the schedule below.
To pursue a professional certificate in management and leadership , the following is required:
• A formal application must be requested before or soon after beginning the course work.
• Completion of 98 hours of organized instruction, or 9.8 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). This consists of seven courses, each meeting for two seven-hour sessions.*
• Courses must be completed within two years of entering the program to earn the certificate.
Participants who successfully fulfill all of the requirements for this non-credit program of study will earn the Management and Leadership Certificate from the Center for Executive Education, School of Business, University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Courses are taught by William Agee, Jr. Mr. Agee has been in purchasing for nearly thirty-five years spanning a very broad and diverse career. Initially, Bill began purchasing in the retail operations, wholesale/distribution field, moved over to a regulated purchasing environment with a branch of the federal government, took a manufacturing position over both purchasing and manufacturing management in a pharmaceutical and medical device firm, followed by experience in a service acquisitions organization and worked as a construction Owner's Advocate. .*
Completion of 84 hours of organized instruction, or 8.4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). This consists of six courses (4 core and 2 electives) meeting for two seven-hour sessions.*
A certificate of completion will be issued at the end of class on day 2.
Courses must be completed within two years of entering the program to earn the certificate.
