Dr. Michelle Peters
COE UHCL Teach Co-Director
Dr. Michelle Peters serves as the COE co-director for the UHCL Teach program. She completed her doctoral degree at The George Washington University, a master's degree at The Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a mathematics 7-12 certification at Drury University. Dr. Peters has over 20 years of experience working in the field of education.
Dr. Stephen Gruber
CSE UHCL Teach Co-Director
Dr. Stephen Gruber serves as the CSE co-director for the UHCL Teach program. He completed his doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction, and his master's in biology at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Dr. Gruber has over 15 years of experience teaching biological sciences in both secondary and post-secondary settings.
Dr. Takisha Gastile
UHCL Teach Master Teacher
Dr. Takisha Gastile serves as the master teacher for the UHCL Teach program. Dr. Gastile has a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Baylor University, an Executive MBA from Texas Woman's University, and an Ed.D from Texas Southern University in Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Gastile has over 14 years of experience in K-12 education and over two years of higher education experience.
Lorie Batrez
UHCL Teach Master Teacher
Lorie Batrez serves as the mathematics master teacher for the UHCLTeach program. Lorie has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Texas Southern University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. Lorie has 16 years of experience in K-12 education as a secondary mathematics teacher, instructional coach, and curriculum writer.
Ms. Erin Forester
COE UHCL Teach Graduate Program Specialist
Erin Forester is the graduate program specialist for the UHCLTeach program and the STEM4ALL grant at University of Houston-Clear Lake. Erin has a Master of Science in Psychology from UHCL and completed post-graduate studies in human factors. She has been working in higher education for over five years as a consultant in the UHCL Writing Center and now as a program specialist in the College of Education.
