Deloney, who hails from Portland, Oregon, played four seasons for the Catamounts, arriving in the summer of 2019. Like all NCAA athletes, he gained an additional year from the 2020-21 COVID season, which did not count against playing eligibility.
While at Vermont, the 6-foot, 165-pound Deloney averaged 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists and 16.3 minutes per game over 107 games.
Deloney produced his best statistical season this past winter. He recorded career highs in points (11.6 ppg), rebounds (2.3 rpg), assists (1.8 apg) and 3-point percentage (40.3%). He also took the most field-goal attempts (132 of 295) and 3-pointers (64 of 149) of his UVM career.

Deloney opened the 2022-23 season by scoring a career-best 32 points in a home win over Brown . He had 21 more double-digit scoring efforts this winter, including in all three conference tournament games culminating in the Catamounts' 72-59 victory over UMass Lowell in the league championship game at Patrick Gym .
After the league championship victory, UVM coach John Becker lauded Deloney's worth and commitment to Vermont during the post-game news conference. Becker mentioned Deloney battled through pain from an abscessed tooth, delaying root canal surgery between the semifinal and title games.
"I have a real soft spot for that kid. He's unbelievable. He's one of the toughest kids I've ever coached," Becker said then. "And he's a really good basketball player. He's a special kid."
Deloney, the first player in America East history to win back-to-back sixth man awards, capped his Catamount career with nine points on 3 of 6 shooting in the first-round NCAA Tournament defeat to Marquette last Friday in Columbus, Ohio .
