- Alabama football defensive lineman announces return for sixth season in 2025. What we know
Add Jah-Marien Latham to the long list of returners to Alabama football's defense in 2025.
The fifth-year defensive lineman announced Wednesday he would return to the Crimson Tide for a sixth season. Latham, who was a four-star defensive tackle recruit in 2020, had a sixth season of eligibility due to COVID-19.
"I'm back, 2025 let's do it," Latham posted on his Instagram.
Latham announced his return shortly after Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard said he would be back for his senior year for the Crimson Tide.
Latham joins Keon Sabb , Deontae Lawson , Domani Jackson , Justin Jefferson and LT Overton as returning members of one of the best Alabama defenses, statistically, since 2017.
Latham shared reps with Overton at Bandit, but moved to Wolf linebacker late in the year. He could back up Qua Russaw at Wolf or return to a rotation at Bandit with Overton and former Florida defensive end Kelby Collins.
Latham had 29 tackles, three tackles-for-loss and a sack in 2025 along with a fumble recovery.
Alabama will open the 2025 season at Florida State Aug. 30.
