Ahead of Alabama football's final regular-season road trip of 2024, Kalen DeBoer doesn't see a struggling Oklahoma team. He sees a "chance for us to go on the road and get to prove it again, that we've got what it takes."
"Each and every game takes on its own life," DeBoer said. "For us, all we're focused on is the next play and for us the next game and everything that goes into being our best. And that's what the recipe for success has been here over the last month."
Alabama will take on Oklahoma at Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium at 6:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC .
Here's what the Crimson Tide should expect from the Sooners on Saturday night.
RG Febechi Nwaiwu: No offensive line has struggled more than Oklahoma in 2024. The Sooners are the only team in college football to allow more than four sacks per game. North Texas Febechi Nwaiwu as been a mainstay on the line, allowing four sacks, six hurries and 10 pressures at right guard in 10 games. If Alabama is going to disrupt Jackson Arnold and the Sooners offense, it will have to start doing what many other SEC programs have already done: bull rush Nwaiwu and the rest of the Sooners offensive line and get to the quarterback.
DL R Mason Thomas :The Oklahoma junior defensive lineman is having a career year, sporting career highs in tackles-for-loss (9) and sacks (7), both of which are a team lead for a unit that is top three in the SEC in both categories. Kadyn Proctor and Elijah Pritchett have another significant assignment in R Mason Thomas on Saturday night.
LB Danny Stutsman :The Oklahoma redshirt junior has developed into one of the better linebackers in the country. Danny Stutsman had back-to-back 100-tackle seasons in 2022 and 2023, and is on the precipice of another in 2024 with 96 through 10 games. If the Sooners make a play defensively, Stutsman will likely be in the middle of it.
Oklahoma has the slim advantage historically over Alabama.
The Sooners have three wins over the Crimson Tide in six meetings, one of which ended in a tie. Oklahoma won three straight against Alabama including both games in a 2002-03 home-and-home. The Crimson Tide ended the streak with a 45-34 win against the Sooners in the 2018 Sugar Bowl.
Alabama's meeting with Oklahoma will be its first against the Sooners in SEC play.

Note: Spread was available on BetMGM as of Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Spread:Alabama -13.5
Over/Under:47.5 points
No. 7 Alabama 35, Oklahoma 10: Jalen Milroe and the Alabama offense will continue to have to be the efficient, well-oiled machine they have been since the Tennessee loss, even against a defense that has a tendency to create havoc in opposing backfields. But the Crimson Tide defense should have no trouble shutting down one of the worst offenses in the country, a reality that should lead to a comfortable road victory ahead of the Iron Bowl.
